This process of composition and invention leads to a good concept and buildable design. Architectural quality is achived when the interplay of materials, physics and building technology is incorporated with physical requirements, from form finding to the process of ageing. Within this context, the institute deals with concepts of resource conscious and energy efficientbuilding as well as with the sensible and proper use of building materials. Architects and engineers teach together, advising students on design projects from the early stages of their studies up to the final thesis.
